I know it has been a long time since I have posted anything new on this site and for that I apologize. I find it hard to keep up with social media as there many things happening and I can’t find the infinite words to keep up or that I think might interest you.
This is the week of Thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for. I want to brag on my amazing wife Heidi. She has supported me through so much and continues to do so. She is a beautiful woman who loves Jesus, has integrity, smart, correct most of the time 😉 and is an amazing mother.
A servants heart would be a great way to describe her attitude. She is very selfless and I get reminded of that through her generosity to our family and to others.
We have been married for 11 years now and she knew me when I was in “Alaris” a Christian band out of SE Michigan. She has been with me on my music journey for a very long time and it has become part of her journey as well. She has come to 99.9% of the concerts that I have played and many times it has been to a very small crowd. Speaking from a guys point of view, when the woman you love shows her love and support, it means so much more than any other compliment given. Her encouraging words of how things went the nights I played are words that I will always hold on to.
We have 2 amazing boys Jonah 3(almost 4) and Micah 2. We couldn’t ask for better kids. They bring smiles to our faces everyday. It is hard to believe how quick they are changing and growing up. I am so thankful to be their dad. I know to every parent that reads this you understand completely.
I have an amazing job leading the worship leader and youth pastor at our church. I am blessed to work with such a great worship team at FFCON and we have a great teen group that is awesome to work with and lead. God’s plan has blown my mind. He has provided for us in ways that I could not do on my own strength. When we finally submit to the direction that He has for our lives, we find rest in what we do and contentment. He truly provides for our needs. Running after anything else if futile. I am thankful that God knows the desires of my heart and finds that valuable. He doesn’t look at my faults and where I fall short but instead cheers me on to be more like Him and to use what He has given me to bring Him glory, being the best husband , dad, worship leader, youth pastor, music artist, that I can be and then watching Him take what I try to do and make something amazing out of it that brings Him glory.
Be thankful for the ordinary life that you live everyday and find yourself giving God praise that it is part of you. When you do you will see the beauty in what you might call uneventful.
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good and His love endures forever.
Not sure what is around the corner but I am thankful that I have today. Are you?
Have a great Thanksgiving
