Knowing Is Not Enough….Only if one Believes in something can one act Purposefully.

Knowing Is Not Enough….Only if one believes in something can one act purposefully

Check out these definitions and then look at Hebrews 11:6 in a different light….

Know   –     To perceive or understand as fact or truth; to apprehend clearly and with certainty

Believe   –    to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so: (Only if one believes in something can one act purposefully)

Faith  –  confidence or trust in a person, thing, deity, view, or in the doctrines or teachings of a religion.  It can also be defined as belief that is not based on proof.

In Hebrews 11:6 it says
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

If we replace some words and use what the definitions say it will read like this…….

In Hebrews 11:6 it says
“And without (confidence or trust) it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must (have confidence) that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

It is not enough to know about God and His principles.  We must take it a step further and believe in Him and who He says He is.  Then and only then will we understand the existence of God and how good He is to us.

Don’t just KNOW about Him,  take another step and BELIEVE in Him.  Your life will truly be changed in an awesome and amazing way.
